We live in Middlesex County and first found Knight when our daughters car broke down and was towed there by AAA. Since then we have gone back to Knight, driving an hour each way. They are reliable, honest and fair. Justin and Rita communicate throughout the process and have our vehicle ready when they say they will. There never any surprises. Our family plans to continue to use Knight for all our car repairs and service!

My discovered this place in a magazine add so we tried it out. After getting general maintenance done the management new our names. Eventually my car had a different problem every week and took us on sometimes without even booking an appointment. I have a new car now and will continue to go to this establishment because of their customer loyalty and they will not try to take advantage of unknowing car maintenance customers

Knight's has done a lot of work on my car this past year. They did miracle work on front end damage from a car accident, to where you would almost not even know the car was in an accident, they diagnosed and fixed a "Check Engine" issue, most recently they put in new struts and did an alignment. The alignment revealed a problem with the front right axle that caused a shake in the car upon acceleration that was not there before. It wasn't anything that anyone did wrong, just one of those things that happen in an old car. The service advisor Rita worked with us on the price and the necessary repairs were able to be done. In my experience, Knight's is a first rate business. Anyone I've ever come in contact with there has been friendly, honest and professional. The work I've had done has been quality. And when an issue came up, they went the extra mile to resolve it, and keep the customer happy. I would give them my highest recommendation.

A family owned business that has many knowledgeable mechanics and make you feel comfortable having your vehicle worked on by someone who puts you first. Office staff is so friendly and helpful. I have taken several vehicles to Knights and am pleased every time and leave feeling like ingot the best work done and am safe driving with my family. Knights gets 5/5 stars.

A few days ago I was driving down the highway and my front right tire just flew off, luckily I managed to get over to the shoulder safely. Needless to say it was a stressful day. I had my car towed to knights and I can truthfully say I've never come across more helpful and kind people. They ran around town to find parts and accommodated me so quickly. So grateful and appreciative thank you again!!

I was driving in the area on business, up from Virginia, and got caught in the first snow storm. Deep ruts tore the engine shield and turned it into a scoop, packing the engine compartment with snow. Knight's was recommended to us by a local tire place. They put my Civic on the rack right away, removed the broken parts, and unpacked the snow all in 20 minutes. They could have taken advantage of an out of town traveler but did quite the opposite, smiled and wished us well on the rest of our trip. We made it home with no issues and when I replaced the shield found they had put the specialty bolts back in place for re-use holding the new shield. WHAT A TEAM!

A little history: My check engine light came on. I took my car to the Toyota dealer to find out what the problem was. They told me I needed a new Oxygen Sensor and may need other things in order to make the check engine light go off. The replacement of the oxy sensor was going to cost around $465 if I remember correctly. I thought that was so overpriced. I picked up my car from Toyota and I took the car to a local mechanic shop down the street from where I live. I had never been to this business before. It was neat and looked well run on first impression. I went into the office. Chris helped me. I told him my check engine light was on and that I was told it was the oxygen sensor. I asked him how much it would cost to replace the oxy sensor in question. He said about $250. He offered first to run the codes on my car (Toyota Land Cruiser) to find out more about the troubles it was having. When he did that the check engine light went out and stayed out.

The Toyota Dealer charged me $107 even though they did not fix anything and the check engine light remained on.

This shop charged me nothing.

I guess nothing was even broken in the first place. The good thing is now I have found a new company to take care of my car. I could not be happier with Knight's Automotive Repair.

This is my second time at Knights Auto Repair and I am very impressed. The service is excellent everyone is very friendly, and they did an excellent job on my car. I will definitely be coming here years to come!!

I have been using Knights Automotive for atleast 15 years. I have felt their service

is excellent. From a simple oil change to an entire engine rebuild, Knights has been

fair in their pricing and abillity. They come to my home if I can't get the car to them and they don't mind

checking my tire pressure with only a few seconds notice. They discuss numerous ways to attack

a problem and let my husband and I decide the best course of action. I can't say enough

about the service and the professionalism of Knights.

Hard to find an honest mechanic these days. I've been screwed before by shoddy work, and always the typical "your car will explode if you don't spend $9000 now to fix it!" from some idiots.

This place is different. They are friendly, know what they are talking about, and never once tried to pull something over me. I generally do my own car repair, but when the job is too large or time consuming, I'll bring it here. They will talk straight mechanical issues with you, or be able to bring it down a level for those less mechanically inclined. My ONLY gripe about this place is they are more expensive than other mechanics in the area.

However, the added cost in my opinion is worth knowing they will do a good job (and back it up by repairing and fixing anything that goes wrong with it in a reasonable amount of time) and not try to pull a fast one on you.

I brought my car in yesterday on the spur of the moment because my work was cancelled so I wasn't expecting much to be done on my car that day, both people l spoke to were extremely pleasant and helpful. They were able to fit me in later in the day and they went beyond what I expected in fixing my problem ( small issues but no charge for additional work).The people there were professional, fair and friendly.

Knight's has been my go-to place to get my car fixed and tuned up for the last year or so. From oil changes to tire repair, these guys have done it all. For problems as small as mine, I can get my car back within the same day and I'm absolutely positive that it'll be the same for you. Oh and price wise? DEFINITELY beats out car dealerships and the like. Do you want me to pay double the price for an oil change? Will that make my car eco-friendly? Will that make my car as if it's a brand new 2015 car (mine is a 2003. College budget)? No. I'll take a decently priced oil change from a local repair shop.

Oh and on top of that, the staff is soooo friendly! I never really talked to any of the people inside the actual shop, but the customer service folks know their stuff. Rita, Peyton, and Nancy are always very friendly and willing to help. If you're in the North Jersey and your car is starting to crap out a bit, definitely check out Knight's.

Recently had my truck fixed at knights. I had a list of issues with it that I needed to be addressed. They helped me sort out what I needed done first and were helpful and knowledgeable. I dropped my truck off when they were closed on a Sunday, had a brief conversation on the phone with them Monday morning, and had my truck back by Monday night. Very happy with service, timeliness, and work done. My truck finally drives normal again! Thanks knights!

I purchased a used minivan last year when we had our fourth child. This van has been nothing but problems and around thanksgiving it began smoking and leaking antifreeze. I took it to my "regular place" and was charged around $1000 for the radiator and hoses and some other things. The problem was not fixed correctly and the van has continued to smoke and leak antifreeze. After several visits back to my "regular place" I decided to give someplace else a try. Knights auto was able to see the van immediately, when I got there they took the van back right away and found the problem, explained what was wrong and even showed me where the hose was broken while the van was on the lift. The car wasn't drivable and they weren't going to have the part until later that day, I had two of my kids with me and they gave us a ride home! This is a great service, may not seem like much but if you've ever had to wait at a mechanic with small children (something I've had to do a LOT since I got this car) you would know this alone makes it worth giving them a try. They got the part and as promised the repairs were made and I was able to get my car back the same day. I have been back twice for other small issues related to the repair done by the first place I went to and they've had me in and out quickly both times. Everyone in the office is friendly and knowledgeable. I look forward to getting all the other problems on the van fixed with them soon!

Where do I begin. My car stopped near mount Arlington train station with a belt issue. I found myself in need a auto repair shop. I called up the shop and received good and thorough information from the woman on the phone. Fast forward to one hour later car in tow over to Knight's Auto Repair shop, I hurried in because of a bathroom emergency and was quickly allowed to do so. The voice over the phone matched the person that allowed me to use the restroom. Ms. Rita not only allowed me to use the restroom but let my daughters have some cookies that were out. She also was gracious enough to bring my daughter and myself each a bottle of water. The customer service at Knights is amazing. She was always communicating with us to make sure that we understood what was wrong with the car. She was kind and the mechanics were very understanding. If ever you are in a bind or not and need awesome, efficient and quick service look no further, Knights Auto Repair shop is the place for you.

I didn't even know about this place until the alternator in my WRX died, and I needed to find somewhere close I could drive to, and pray I'd make it there before my car died again.

They replaced my alternator at a very good price, and they were even willing to drive me home so I didn't have to wait in the waiting room.

At the same time, I was having power steering issues. Shortly before my alternator died, I was at my local Subaru dealership for a safety recall, and I asked Subaru to look the power steering issue. They quoted me at $1000 for a power steering rack, plus an additional $1000 if I needed a new power steering pump. Needless to say, I didn't have Subaru fix it for me at that time.

So, when I went to Knight's for my alternator, I asked them to look at the power steering issue, since they were working on my car anyway. Apparently, all I needed was a new power steering belt, which was about $100 for parts and labor, and it fixed my problem perfectly! I know dealerships tend to kill you on pricing, but $100 compared to $2000+? Come on.

I also had a radiator hose burst on me this week, leaving me unable to drive to work. I dropped my car off as soon as they opened, and even though they were insanely busy, they had me on my way to work about 2 hours later.

Everyone is super pleasant and polite. Hopefully I wont have any car issues for a while, but if I do, I'll surely be coming back to Knights.

My father and i got a flat tire and because we were in the right place at the right time we were led to Knight's Auto Repair. Even though we pulled in at the end of the day, Justin diagnosed the problem, fixed the tire (and the spare!) and did so with kindness and professionalism (as did everyone we encountered). The cost was very reasonable and despite having to deal with this at the worst possible time on a very stressful day, Knight's came to our rescue. Many thanks!

I cannot say enough about how friendly, knowledgeable and professional this shop is. Having had 2 bad experiences with my dealership's shop I knew I had to find a better place, and I did with Knights. The staff is wonderful and the mechanics are great. I appreciate that they actually show you the problem and will discuss options and costs with you. Just had exhaust problem fixed and my mechanic went above and beyond to fix it within my budget. Rita has been a huge help to me whenever I brought my car in. The shop offers coupons and if needed, they can pick you up or take you home. I highly recommend this shop.

Overall amazing service. The management and mechanics are great and knowledgeable. I had a issue from pervious shop that knights auto was able to properly fix. I happen to work about a half mile from the shop so they even gave me a ride to work. I am really happy with all my experiences with this shop. Highly recommend.

I had a very favorable experience, cost was about 20% less than my last front brake job; mechanic was able to unstick rt front caliper, saving me about $200 over a replacement of the pair.

Knights diagnosed my issue and repaired it quickly. I came out of my house to a dead battery. In far if it happening again I search for a repair location that could replace the battery and hopefully quickly. They did both and even though I knew it was the battery the testing they performed put my mind at ease that I was making the right choice. I just paid off this vehicle so I know where I will be taking my 2012 Honda Pilot for years to come.

Very friendly and professional. Even being shorthanded and the holidays they took my car in and had it repaired and back in my hands in 24 hours which is incredible. Knight's Automotive is by far the best! I had to have a new engine put in my car. Not knowing anything about cars I was a bit intimidated. The staff at Knights was beyond patience and helpful especially Rita. She helped me explore all of my options to see which would be the most cost effective. Once i had reached a decision I had my car back in just a few days... they even fixed a few additional problems. I've been here twice with my aging, almost 80K mile 2008 Durango. The first time was a year ago; I had a stuck front caliper and I needed new front brakes. Everyone I dealt with was helpful and professional, the wait room facilities were clean and comfortable with free cookies, coffee, wifi and 2 laptop tables!. The repair was completed in a reasonable time, with the mechanic freeing the caliper w/o charge (saving me perhaps $100 by not having to replace it), installing new pads and rotors, rotating the tires (and balancing them gratis) and finishing the job by test driving my truck and making some recommendations. I received 10% off of the labor for AAA Membership. Total cost was about $400 to $450, I forget the exact amount, not cheap, but I've paid the same at a "friend's" garage that I'll never return to and $550 for the rear discs on a 1999 Maxima 10 years ago. So the prices are reasonable and I trust them, very important, plus they offer coupons and specials from time to time. I was there again 3 weeks ago to have a TPMS replaced on a leaky tire. Again the mechanic test drove the vehicle both before and after the servicing, which consisted of fixing the TPMS and a coupon special of $39.95 for oil change and inspection of the vehicle (and tire rotation I think). I had also asked them to check a noise that they diagnosed to be a leaky exhaust manifold, which was covered under my 8/80K Chrysler Service Contract, which I had fixed by a Dodge Dealer. The mechanic discovered a small leak in the transmission cooler line, which might have been Dodge Warranty work (it wasn't) that I would refer to Dodge, that my battery had failed their test and a few other things. The charge was reasonable for the second visit, in the "ballpark" that I had in my mind. Dodge fixed my exhaust manifold (nice dealership) and gave me a quote for the small leak; they also told me that my lower ball joints needed replacing, the same as Sears told me about 2 years ago, which was disproved by another mechanic I trust. Since the truck was test driven twice on my last visit here and may have gone over a nearby RR Crossing without comment by the mechanic, I have my doubts about the ball joints, but we shall see. I'm going back for an estimate on fixing the leaky line, replacing the serpentine belt and having the front suspension checked this week. Bottom line is I trust them to do correct work and not to throw bogus repairs in my face as did Sears and others that I have dealt with.

You know those feelings you get from most auto repair locations? You have that suspicion that the work they recommend be done to your vehicle doesn't really need to be done? And then you feel like you're being overcharged for that work? And on top of that, the work you requested be done is not done timely and / or with high quality?

I am very happy to say that after having two of my vehicles serviced here for the past couple years...I get NONE of those feelings. Knight's has literally saved me thousands of dollars in repairs that the dealer "recommended" be performed. Knight's assured me that some repairs were not needed, and in one case was able to actually repair an exhaust leak ($200) rather than replace the entire exhaust system ($2500) for our Lexus.

My experience with Knights has been nothing but exemplary. I could not recommend them more highly as a trustworthy shop.

The owners and crew go above and beyond to help you. I have been going to them for years and am alway pleased with the service and care to handle whatever I need done. I recommend them to anyone I know as the place to go.

I'm still waiting for a quote on a rebuilt transmission they promised me on a car I bought through them. They tend to be a bit melodramatic with the repairs your car might need, but they don't inflate what it is your car might need.

Terrific customer service and wonderful office staff. They diagnosed my problem,and Rita negotiated on my behalf with the extended warranty insurer to get most of the work paid for. And I got a handwritten thank-you note! How often does that happen? This is my car's permanent shop. Highly recommended.

I live in upstate new York. I was visiting family and friends in the area and my power steering line rotted out. AAA suggested them' glad they did, very friendly place. They worked as fast as they could because I had to get home in a couple of days. Cost wasn't as bad as I expected and the problem was fixed so I left happy!

A couple of days ago I was heading out to PA, and my low-pressure tire light came on. I was just about to pass Knights auto and decided to stop in and see if I could get air put in the tires, (which has in the past all that’s needed).

My car was taken right away, and I stood outside the bay as the technician measured the pressure on each tire, and started to take one tire off. I asked if there was a problem he explained to me that this particular tire was a pound or two lower than the rest and he just wanted to check and make sure that there wasn’t a reason. Sure enough there was a nail in the tire.

In almost every case in the past, the person putting the air in would fill the tires and I would be on my way. If the low pressure light came on again, it would mean a problem. No one usually wants to bother taking the time to visually check and see if there is a problem.

The tire was repaired and I was very grateful that I stopped by, on a whim, to get them checked by a group of people who are not only conscientious, polite, have fair prices and prompt service, but care about you and your safety as well as your car.

Was able to take me immediately after the bad snow storm we got. Went in for an alternator replacement, and they fixed another problem with my power steering, saving me tons of money. $120 compared to Subaru'$2000 estimate. Kind and polite workers, clean and organized shop, and fixed my two problems in one day. Very reasonably priced and kind. Couldn't be any happier

Peyton, Nancy and their entire team are great people with which to work. They are honest, friendly, knowledgeable and courteous. If you have an issue with your car or just need service work done, this is the place to take it. I've been using them for approximately four years and at least two cars. Multiple interactions and always a positive experience.

I had taken my car to a local quick lube type of shop that advertised transmission fluid flushes as a service they provided and I was about due for it so I figured why not let them handle this basic maintenance. Long story short, it caused me numerous trips back and forth to that shop to try and get them to fix a mistake of their doing that was causing a transmission fluid leak from my car.

I decided it had gone on long enough after the issue was not being resolved and I researched a reliable garage in the area and found AAA endorsed Knights Automotive Repair. I called them, dropped the car off overnight, and received a call barely after sitting down at work the next morning telling me exactly what the issue is, how they can resolve it, a cost and time estimate that were very close to the end result, and they were very accommodating through the entire process. Do yourself a favor and choose a knowledgeable, honest garage from the start and avoid unnecessary headaches

My friend Pat, who purchased a cheap ass Hyundai broke down this past weekend on highway 80 near Ledgewood. His car was towed to Knight's Automotive Repair on Saturday. On Sunday while retrieving some articles from his vehicle he ran into Peyton, on his Day Off. Peyton was very professional and helpful. On Monday, Peyton did some research and found out about an engine recall on the vehicle.

His professional courtesy lead to my friend Pat saving several thousand dollars in vehicle repairs.

I recently took my vehicle to knights automotive. I was worried my annoying engine noise was going to cost me big money. Happily, I was told I was very low on motor oil and they even advised me on my battery which I was having trouble with this past winter. They could have easily raped my wallet, but they didn't. Friendly and knowledge staff. Not the cheapest, but good service.

Had my Sebring towed here when the engine wouldn't start. It cost almost 800$ to replace my distributor. The people here we're kind enough to let me pick the car up a week later, being that I live 30 minutes away and would be difficult to find a ride. When I came back to pick up the car they explained there were more issues, but told me it would not be worth fixing. I had already knew my transmission needed replacement but it would cost more than what my car is worth. They explained the wires in my car we're so old and brittle. They took the time to show me what was wrong and gave me great advice to sell the car or trade it in. They even offered to have someone look at any potential cars I'm interesting before I even buy it! Thank you for the hand written card btw!!

I have never in all my years received a personalized, hand-written Thank You note from any business for choosing them.

Knight's Automotive Repair is a SUPERIOR automotive repair shop! Always pleasant, always professional, and very customer-focused. They've been keeping my car with its 200,000 miles running for years! That being said, yesterday I had a first. I returned to my car with my bags of groceries and my car wouldn't start. No AAA and I didn't know what to do. So I called Knight's Automotive Repair. Rita answered the phone and offered a few suggestions. When the car still wouldn't start, she came ON HER LUNCH HOUR IN HER OWN CAR to give my car's battery a jump. Turned out it was the starter. Rita called AAA for me, arranged to have it flatbed towed to Knight's, and even took my frozen groceries back to Knight's so they wouldn't spoil! This level of service is unprecedented!! Once I arrived at Knight's in the tow truck, Rita drove me home with the rest of my groceries. My car was repaired within 24 hours (amazing, since it wasn't scheduled) and I am happily "on the road again!" Aside from being extremely knowledgeable, Rita is a phenomenal person!! So grateful to her, the mechanics who fixed my car in such a timely manner, and Nancy and Peyton Knight for running such a caring and upstanding auto repair shop and service center!!! We first visited Knight’s Automotve in 1998 soon after we moved to this area. We have not used any other automotive service since.

Peyton and Nancy are trustworthy, skilled, and very caring. They listen to us when we discribe what’s going on with our cars. Many times one of their technicians test drove my car while I was in the passenger seat so I could explain in better detail my concerns.

Every time we have our cars serviced we know we will have safe, reliable transportation when we pick them up. They employ great mechanics, knowledgeable staff, and place customer’s needs first. I’d recommend Kmight’s Automotive with no reservations.

Rita is great at explaining the repair issue, and really works to keep the costs down. She offers advice and let's you know if a recommended service can be pushed off until next time.

My car started making a horrible noise on my way to work one morning. I turned around and drove directly to Knight's. With no notice, they had my car on the lift within 5 minutes, and diagnosed the issue - even brought me into the garage area to see the damaged part for myself.

The Knight's Automotive team is awesome!!! My family and I have been loyal customers for over 15 years. They have fair prices and have done excellent work on our family’s cars (BMW, Lexus, Honda, etc) including assisting my kids with the purchase their own vehicles. They consistently provide detailed explanations of the each repair and have earned our deep trust by their strong ethics and integrity. There have been times where they have suggested more economical solutions. I continually recommend them to our friends and family. Example: Once Knight’s had recommended a shop for repairing the transmission on our Honda van. Later there was an issue after the warranty period had expired . Peyton personally called the other shop owner and they performed the repairs for free. This is why we have such great confidence and trust in Knight’s!!!
